NPOV

[edit]

This doesn't seem like it has a very neutral point of view. Sounds more like an ad than anything else. Mr.KlicK 18:51, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

I agree, it could use a rewrite and be less composed of quotes. Comrade Graham (talk) 06:02, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree too, and template it accordingly. -Keinstein (talk) 02:39, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I applied the WP:SOAP template --ATJS144 (talk) 11:38, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've restored NPOV by removing the promotional stuff. They could go reception section perhaps but since no source was provided I think they are better left out for now. Rpvdk (talk) 08:36, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Really, now.

[edit]

"Linus's contribution to the operating system was its kernel, "Linux". The operating system as a whole, written as hundreds of separate projects, many under the umbrella of the GNU project, later also became known to many as "Linux".[1]"

They'll shove that topic anywhere, won't they? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.190.154.198 (talk) 19:12, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

linking to the book instead of the retailer

[edit]

On the wiki page about Andrew S. Tanenbaum (Andrew_Tanenbaum), there is a link to linus' book. But by default the link opens the retailer page 'just for fun'. It might be useful to rename one of the 'Just of Fun' pages, such that direct linking would be possible. 78.153.35.56 (talk) 21:06, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This page has been moved around in the past. Instead, I fixed the link on the Tanenbaum page to point here. 143.115.159.53 (talk) 14:24, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
