History
[edit]Under the heading of "Early years", the following sentence is entirely erroneous: "KOA-AM-FM shared broadcast facilities at 17th & California Street with their co-owned television station, Channel 4 KOA-TV (now KCNC) this ended in 1984 when NBC moved KCNC to its current facilities at 1044 Lincoln St."
In fact, KOA radio and KOA-TV moved into the new facilities at 1044 Lincoln Street in 1959. KOA-FM was added in 1961. Following the sale of KOA and KOAQ to A. H. Belo Corp. in 1983, the radio stations moved out of the Lincon Street facility to new studios at 1380 Lawrence Street. That left just the television station, with new call letters KCNC, at the Lincoln Street facility.
I will be rewriting this portion of the article shortly. BlueMesa171 (talk) 05:11, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
