[edit]As far as I know, it is not at all proven that there were Swedish/Germanic speaking settlers in Norrbotten during the Viking age. I know that there were farmers, but according to the studies I have read, they might as well have been Finnish. How do we know when the people speaking the oldest form of the Kalix language arrived?--Skogsfrun (talk) 15:11, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
