K vs. C

[edit]

Historically and on the show, according to IMDB she is spelled Catherine, not Katherine. However on Showtime web site, it lists her as Katherine, not Catherine. Which is correct, should we cover both?  immunity  talk  03:34, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Even historically, the spelling depended upon who was documenting it; the Catherine Parr notes both spellings. In any case, IMDb.com is user-updated, there are no checks and balances like Wikipedia, and often errors and dircrepancies. The website should set the standard, as this is a fictional representation. And it's not a different name. It would be confusing to include both if the show doesn't present both. Now, if the DVD comes out and it's spelled with a "C" ... Agree with TAnthony - although I'd point out that every change made to IMDb is reviewed by an editor who is, at least theoretically, familiar with the show in question. Standardized orthography didn't happen until the late 18th and early 19th centuries. --DrGaellon (talk | contribs) 03:07, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
