Comments

  • Where is his middle name and birthdate referenced?
  • "Easley played college football "... don't repeat his surname so quickly, perhaps just "He played..."
  • Then make it "...1981 NFL Draft, Easley..."
  • "In 1984"... try to avoid easter egg links.
  • "after the 1987 season after" repetitive.
  • "after the 1987 season after he was diagnosed to have severe kidney disease. After" really repetitive.
  • "1999-2003" year ranges and scores should use an en-dash to separate them (per WP:DASH).
  • Infobox, "Strong Safety" is overcapitalised.
  • "Beard-DeLong-Easley" I imagine this should be en-dashes rather than hyphenated.
  • "His jersey number was retired by the school, and in 1991, Easley was " -> "Easley's jersey number was retired ... and in 1991 he was...".
  • "but didn't play" avoid contractions.
  • "Pro career" do you mean "Professional career" as "pro" is a little colloquial.
  • You relink 1981 NFL Draft a couple of times, but not Seattle Seahawks (for instance). Be consistent with your linking strategy.
  • "led the National Football League " you've already referred to this entity as the NFL so why suddenly expand the acronym again?
  • "a 45-0 win" en-dash.
  • "He hurt his knee ..." bit weak, maybe "He injured his knee"
  • "In December, Easley was rumored to be in the trading block..." this is all a little odd for me, I'm not sure how accessible this sentence is to non-experts, and I'm not sure we should be writing about "rumours".
    • The rumors were a part why his career ended prematurely, if it wasn't because of the trade that happened, the kidney disease probably would have been diagnosed early. I was thinking of another way to reword it. Secret account 00:32, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "a 23-20 loss" en-dash.
  • "Buffalo Bills defensive end Bruce Smith " since all this is linked, it's confusing.
    • Removed the first two links, people can simply click on the Smith article. Secret account 00:32, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Bruce Smith was named " comma after Smith.
  • "He was also selected for the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team." ref?
  • Ref 1 needs publisher/work/author information.
  • As do Refs 4, 6.
    • I replaced one of the sources, the other source (which I think its the old source 1 you are talking about) is a broken link will fix now the other two, problem is my overheating computer. Secret account 00:32, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref 5 should lose the SHOUTING (similarly in 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 21, 22, 23 and 25)
  • Ref 5, is that really the Boston Glove?
  • Retrieved date should be consistent in format.
  • Highbeam in italics or not? Be consistent.
  • Ref 17 should be The New York Times.
  • One template implies he's a member of the All-Century UCLA Bruin team, but this isn't covered.
    • I had issues verifying the information thus I nominated it for TFD, I expanded a bit on his college career however.
  • Similarly the 35th anniversary team, and the "FWWA Quarter-century team", again not covered in the article.
    • Will add the information soon on all three above. Secret account 00:32, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My apologizes, my computer has been overheating and turning off randomly the past month or so and because of a massive money drain my most recent illness a few months ago costs me, I am currently lacking the funds to replace it. That is why I am/was unable to focus on one particular thing on the present moment that takes me more than 30 minutes like content work or GA reviews (I had literally finished one GA review and about to click save when my computer turned off, losing the review). I should be able to finish your concerns by tomorrow, as I will be in the University the whole day (and not using my fried laptop). Secret account 00:32, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Ping me when you're done. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:21, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
