This seems incorrect: "Touching Cold Iron causes an immediate Rotschreck roll, and also causes 1 health level of damage per turn (preventable only by the ability Fortitude, as it is not aggravated). Actually being damaged by a cold iron weapon causes Kiasyd aggravated wounds." The problematic part being "(preventable only by the ability Fortitude, as it is not aggravated)" as it is self-contradictory. Aggravated damage for Kindred is the only kind of damage that can only be soaked by Fortitude. To say it can only be soaked by Fortitude as it is NOT aggravated, seems like a mistake to me. Is there an explanation to this, or is it a genuine mistake?

The Kiasyd are actually an important tool for Storytellers in the Vampire: The Masquerade games to help them introduce information to players in an in-world fashion. They are used in all of the Vampire: The Masqurade settings and though the clan is few in number in-game, they are notable as the major bridge between the Changing: the dreaming and Vampire: The Masquerade game series. In short, they are notable and worthy of mention as an actual, official, and used part of the game.

Actually, despite needing a little polishing, this article is fairly complete. The only real things missing might be stats, the clan symbol (anyone have a picture?), possibly a bit more in-depth on the history of this bloodline and maybe a little reworking to help the flow of the text (even though I see no obvious errors in it). Upgraded to class "B".

As to importance, I looked at things like a hierarchy as the article said to do- Vampire: The Masqurade (top), Clans in V:TM (high), Bloodlines in V:TM (Mid). As Kiasyd is a bloodline and in V:TM bloodlines are considered more a minor detail/tool to fill in blanks (regardless of the importance of the purpose of the clan out-of-game), it's mid.

Notability Explanation and Disagreement about Merging and / or Deletion

[edit]

The "Clans" in Vampire are equivalent to the character classes in Dungeons and Dragons, they are NOT just a story element. As wiki deems fit to allow the character classes of Dungeons and Dragons to have their own articles (Bard (Dungeons & Dragons), etc), there is no reason why the "character classes" of another exceedingly popular pen-and-paper RPG are not notable enough to have their own articles. Even more so since they ARE both Character Classes AND major elements of the story.

In addition, considering the large amounts of background info and game-based info on each of the clans, it is NOT feasible to merge them all into one article. In fact, if we were to do so the resulting article would be too big and then go against Wiki standards.

Please stop listing all Vampire:The Masquerade articles as non-notable.Flygongengar (talk) 20:33, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Notability

[edit]

The article describes the bloodline in Vampire: The Masquerade and Vampire: The Eternal Struggle. These are two separate games and and it has references for both. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.34.219 (talk) 22:33, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
