Giant Turtle of Kusu Island

[edit]

Dear readers, I just want to share with you my experience in Kusu Island back in 1994 and I was only 10year old. My father and his friend's out of the blue just brought me to Kusu island for a prayer, at that time I was very young and I can't recall the month but definitely not the 9th month of the Chinese Lunar Month. While my dad and his friend were busy burning the incense paper at the furnace located at the side walk of the temple, I was looking around at the beautiful surrounding, suddenly I was awed and I can't believe what I had saw; it was a Giant turtle as big as the lagoon itself floating gracefully in the lagoon. I was so excited and shouted to my dad and he saw it too, as soon as my dad called for his friend the Giant Turtle vanished back into the bottom of the lagoon. Honestly I don't think anybody will believe me, as it is impossible for such a Giant Turtle to swim into the lagoon which is surrounded by the 4 sided bridges and with all the columns piled deep into the bottom of the lagoon.

The Giant Turtle was as big as 2 combined Basket Ball courts and it was just too beautiful and majestic for me to describe to anyone. I had ever told a few friends but all of them thought I was pulling their legs or even making up stories.

My conclusion is; the Giant Turtle do exist to day but just that it is a holy Turtle Spirit, therefore believe it or not, you may want to try your luck one of these days to visit the lagoon of Kusu Island which is directly beside the Chinese Temple. FYIP you may still see big sea turtles in the Lagoon but don't mistaken it as the Giant turtle... Cheers everybody...
