I have removed the book excerpts from this article per my interpretation of fair use and the context of the citation. Relevant, I believe, is
- [A] reviewer may fairly cite largely from the original work, if his design be really and truly to use the passages for the purposes of fair and reasonable criticism. On the other hand, it is as clear, that if he thus cites the most important parts of the work, with a view, not to criticise, but to supersede the use of the original work, and substitute the review for it, such a use will be deemed in law a piracy....
As the article cited the work with no additional content inserted, and with the citation being around 80% of the article, I feel this clearly falls into the latter category. — Lomn | Talk / RfC 13:14:39, 2005-08-30 (UTC)
Cite What?
[edit]The entire article comprises three sentences plus a reference to the book. Yet it carries a "This article does not cite any sources" banner. How would one cite a source for this (other than the book reference)? rowley (talk) 06:25, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
