Counties[edit]

I'm aware that several of the cities on this list are actually now located in multiple counties. I'm not listing multiple counties because the purpose of this template is not to provide microscopically perfect detail, but to give a general overview. That a portion of Chicago lies in DuPage county is simply not important enough to screw up the general aesthetics of a template's format. As one born in Aurora and who was raised there for my formative years, I know that I considered myself to be a resident of Kane County, and I never thought otherwise until I came to Wikipedia.
