regarding Blockland

I keep re-inserting Blockland into this article- If I was shown something, and later went on to make a large production from it (Like, say, a movie from a book/screenplay) I'm sure the original source would get some mention.

Please, do not remove Blockland's fair and due mention from this article again. Any further removal will result in arbirtation/administrative injunction.

I feel my last edit was fair, perhaps we can come to a truce? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:DR

Both Lego Universe and Blockland are not the same thing, they are different. In fact the first idea was not created by Blockland. It was created by LEGO Media in the late 1990's. Blockland has its own 'wiki' page of information regarding to their own game. GoTLG —Preceding comment was added at 00:52, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Lego did indeed have the idea for a virtual Lego world, but Blockland made it an MMO. Lego did NOT do MMO before they were shown Blockland. My point is, Lego had virtual building. They saw Blockland. Then Lego did MMO. Coincidence? Not a chance. Why else would they show interest? My addition returns, unless you can give me a good point not to keep it there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.241.107 (talk) 22:15, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
How about a ban for advertising? You already ahve a wiki page, and LEGO universe has nothing to do with blockland. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.41.145.24 (talk) 19:53, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

anyone?

is anyone wanting to do this? i have since i heard of it and i think it'll be big don't you think?12.216.165.50 18:39, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

VIP Access

This whole section is obviously advertising, but I don't want to just remove it since its the only real info on the page. Does anyone want to edit it down so that is NPOV? Snowboardpunk (talk) 20:28, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

VIP section, newsletters, and New Site.

I removed all of these, as it's purely commercial, and cramming the entire bunch of newsletters in is completely unnecessary for some in-detail info that can be found elsewhere. Wikiburger (talk) 17:08, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Mac

Is LEGO Universe really going to be released for Mac OS X? I really really hope it will, but I can't find anywhere besides Wikipedia that says so. If anyone has more info or a source, I would love to see it. -HotWheels53 (talk) 01:59, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Lego Universe is only for Windows XP, Vista, and 7. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.91.194.12 (talk) 18:11, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

My Lego Network Connection?

Are the plastic pellets that you can grow from Plastic Pellet Inductor Modules in MLN in anyway related to LU currency? Unknown1x 02:33, 20 February 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Unknown1x (talkcontribs)

Yes, as the article says, the LEGO Universe currency will be plastic. I even referenced that. Bugefun (talk) 12:21, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Unconfirmed rumour

What is "However, if you buy the DVD for Lego Universe, the player will be able to have unlimited access to the game without subscription, but will work as if the player was subscribing."?

Nowhere has this been stated, nor can I find any grain of truth to it. Link please? 58.175.169.47 (talk) 14:12, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

there is no cititation, so.
but I think if you buy the CD it will be like 30 days free, like WoW, But I hate subscrition fee's, because I dont have a source of steady income. --Benjabby (talk) 15:55, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Dudes, how can I reference a phone call to Lego? If you look in History, I have posted it in the summary, possibly under a different IP address. I phoned LEGO and they told me that. OK? Fine. Good. OK, to 58.175.169.47, I can't reference phone calls. Happy? To Benjabby, same thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.103.226.111 (talk) 12:23, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I have previously contacted LEGO (by e-mail) and they have given me info that I easily proved false. This was about a different subject, but I found that they were wrong. I replied telling them and they said sorry, but they don't have access to that information. I don't trust LEGO customer support beyond things they usually deal with. Bugefun (talk) 17:53, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

People, read Wikipedia's guideline on original research. A phone call or email to Lego's CS would count as original research, and so cannot be used as a reference. TalkIslander 22:03, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

I think there is going to be a DVD/CD that counts as a subscription. If that weren't the case, then why is there a pre-order? It's not like you can run out of downloadable copies of the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.91.194.12 (talk) 18:16, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

"LEGO" vs. "Lego"

The correct notation of the word "LEGO" is in all capital letters. All copyrights of the LEGO Group, and its name, use full capitals. References to "Lego" should be "LEGO", and the title of this page should be "LEGO Universe". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.61.79.211 (talk) 22:25, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia's rules override... MOS:TM Bugefun (talk) 05:35, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Alright. Thanks. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 21:23, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Release Date

As of now, the only release date known for Lego Universe is the second half of 2010. There is no reference for it being released in April or Spring. Please cite any new release dates that you add. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 22:22, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

The Minifig Mission countdown timer does not say that that will be the release date; therefore you cannot assume that the game will be released in April. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 01:36, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

Lego Universe's 3-Year Deal with Unity

Can somebody please add this? Source: http://unity3d.com/company/news/lego-3-year-deal-press.html

99.244.245.31 (talk) 22:37, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

That is not about LEGO Universe. That is about games on their website. LEGO Universe is made by NetDevil. Bugefun (talk) 13:45, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Take out the MLN thing

Its not really part of LU its part of the site!!! --Mathepa (talk) 01:09, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

It may be only part of site, but the characters could appear in Lego Universe, and are part of the "promotion", so we'll leave it. 86.28.171.246 (talk) 17:52, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

Beta Test Information

IN GENERAL: Any information that can only be found by being a BETA tester should not be posted. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 00:46, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Be careful not to reveal any information that was released through the Alpha or Beta tests. Before joining them, testers had to sign an agreement of non-disclosure, which prohibits you from giving information to any external person or group. This includes Wikipedia. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 01:13, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

Any site posting the times that LEGO Universe BETA is open is violating the agreement. Any web page that violates this agreement should not have a link on this article. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 20:13, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Just to clear it up; even if the site only tells us that the servers are online, that's violation; people can calculate the times of the BETA sessions, and thus it's violation. 86.28.171.246 (talk) 13:01, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

The Quality-Scale

I noticed the quality-scale for WikiProject Lego and WikiProject Video games is "Stub-class". I think it's far from "Stub-class"; at least it's a "C-class" or "Start-class". Also, the importance scale for both WikiProjects is "Low". LEGO Universe is going to be launched soon, and it should be more important for video games and LEGO overall, so I think it should be changed to "Mid-scale" for now. 86.28.171.246 (talk) 21:31, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

I changed it to B-Class (because there is a significant amount of information but references are a bit weak at some points) and High importance (because it is going to be released in a few months, and a lot of news will be announced). EWikist (Talk to me) 21:33, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

Timer reset

The timer of the Great Minifig Mission has resetand now ends on July 1st. We need the exact time in GMT and ET, so if you know the time it'll now end, please add it to the article. 86.28.171.246 (talk) 22:24, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

I did it. I actually rounded it, because it ends about 50 seconds later than what I put. Bugefun (talk) 04:19, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. 86.28.171.246 (talk) 17:55, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

I think that the External links section should only list official websites and websites that have official content that is not available anywhere else (like the CES 2010 video). Although they do look like good sites, this section seems be becoming a list of fansites looking for free publicity. Nothing personal, its just that it doesn't seem fair that some of the fansites get included while others aren't. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 12:04, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

(Continued from my talk page)I agree the first reason to remove fansites, it does seem unfair that only some are on, and others not. However, if a site DOES have something useful like LU History on my site, it should remain. Also, that Lego Unvierse History based 95% on the Great Minifig Mission. The only parts that aren't are the excape from Crux (which was hinted at anyways) and the BM(Before Maselstrom) and AM(After Maelstrom). And besides, what is there on my site that breaks the LU Beta NDA? Grizzly10513 (talk) 13:43, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
I understand what you're saying. In the history part of your site, a few things are mentioned that have not be released outside of the Beta (names, not concepts). The main point was that, although your site looks good, if one fansite is put onto the links, all of them should be allowed, and it would get crowded. 96.61.79.211 (talk) 01:42, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Delayed Again?

I noticed that both the pre-order and the end of the Great Minifig Mission were delayed two months. Does that mean that mean that LU was delayed two months? (The pre-order moved from March 15th to May 14th.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.91.194.12 (talk) 18:21, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

As of now, that can't be determined as the release date wasn't (nor has it been since) revealed at the time of the delay. Also, the pre-order itself wasn't supposed to open on March 15th; new information about it was going to be revealed then.96.61.79.211 (talk) 00:12, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Oh. I remembered something in the Lego magazine relating to pre-order and March 15th. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.146.143.156 (talk) 03:42, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Edit Notice

As a result of recent and continually added Non-disclosure agreement violations, I've submitted a request to have the following edit notice added to the Lego Universe page:

Lego Universe is currently in the Beta stage of testing. All Beta Testers have consented to a non-disclosure agreement. Before you add information to this page, please be sure that it is properly cited and is has been officially disclosed by the LEGO Group or its subsidiaries. Thank you.

The request can be found here. EWikist (Talk to me) 22:23, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but it is not appropriate to impose the rules of an organization upon Wikipedia. This notice text is invalid. Wikipedia policies apply, not those of an organization. Chzz  ►  01:35, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
I've edited the notice to put more emphasis on Wikipedia's original research policies. EWikist (Talk to me) 19:32, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Follow-up to this but blogs are self-published sources and are generally not reliable enough. I have removed the references to this blog, this blog and this one (an anonymous blog making a guess as to a possible twitter account is two levels of unreliability. Also, their additions to the beta section directly contradict the press release by the company (which opened beta testing at CES, an industry trade show, not just to when some bloggers found about it). -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:21, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Semi-Protected

I believe that the Lego Universe article should be semi-protected because of the amount of uncitable additions made to the page. Most of this additions stem from the currently active Beta Test of Lego Universe. Due to the NDA in place, no information from the Beta has been published by a reliable source, and therefore should not appear on Wikipedia. As mentioned on the edit notice talk, any moderately experienced editor should be able to handle this, and semi-protecting the page will solve this problem. If the issue still persists, adding pending changes to the article could be the next step. The request can be found here. EWikistTalk 15:42, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Lego Universe page will be semi-protected for one week. This means that only autoconfirmed users can edit the page. If a non-autoconfirmed user would like an edit to be made, they should make a post here on the talk page with the {{editsemiprotected}} tag so an autoconfirmed user (such as myself) can make the change. EWikistTalk 18:53, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Brick limit

There is a limit to how many bricks you can put in your "personal build area" making the claim that you can build what ever you wish false. The count is also fairly low. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.252.95.239 (talk) 10:36, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Reception

Can someone do a Reception section. For me it's one of a game article's most important sections. I don't know how to do the table and stuff. 86.144.135.89 (talk) 10:22, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Lego Universe Userbox

I made a simple Lego Universe userbox. Anybody have an opinion?

{{User:UBX/LegoUniverseBeta}}

It's a bit empty now. I forgot that the Lego Universe was non-free image. Anyone else have a suitable image for this box? EWikist (Talk to me) 23:19, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
