Typo?[edit]

untitled[edit]

Someone should consider adding reference to the 2000 Bazialian movie, "House of Sands," filmed largely in this very strange land.

There's a discrepancy in the article with regard to the area of the park: Listed in the upper right in the quick "fact box": Area 270 km² Established 1981 Established: 1981 Governing body IBAMA Listed in the opening paragraph: "It encompasses roughly 1000 square kilometers..." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.183.19.243 (talk) 08:48, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's slightly misleading to say many people live "in" the park. There is a small community in the centre. The few fishermen live along the adjoiing coast to the park. There's quite a big difference, for instance, bttween the narrow strip of flatlands along the coast (even if geographically part of the reserved area), or the scrublands between Atins and sand dunes several miles away. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parzivalamfortas (talk • contribs) 21:07, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
