I removed the link to Ligeia, which article is about the Poe character, not the siren (who has no article at all). Orcoteuthis (talk) 18:40, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note: map shown has incorrect longitude. Map author notes it in postscript at http://www.evs-islands.com/2008/02/titans-unnamed-methane-sea.html and provides corrected map at http://www.flickr.com/photos/evsmap/2370925951/. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.19.112.38 (talk) 19:19, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious

[edit]

This map shows details (e.g. "rivers", "islands") which imho no reliable data source provides data for. The map is supposed to be based on this image. I'm in favor of removing this map in case no reliable source is given. --Abdull (talk) 15:34, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The map is based on this source: http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/?IDNumber=PIA10008
and in general appears to be fairly accurate. Some of the details (small islands, streams) are likely over-interpretation of the image, but given the usage to be made of the map this does little harm. No one is likely to use the map as a basis for a canoe trip anytime soon. Given the caveat that it is an amateur work, I don't see why it can't be used.
