Opening comment

I favour the term light sculpture over light art, does anyone have views? Research Method (talk) 00:48, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

The two terms cover almost the same subject matter, with 'light art' being more general and 'light sculpture' being more specific. I think having two articles will be waste of time, on the other hand it might encourage more editors to join in. I see your point, but that will not be changed by this article, as of now this basically just a list of artists, which is not very encyclopedic. For starters some notable light sculptures should be described, interesting development and stuff like that. What is light sculpture?

Not in the sense used in this article: they are commercial art rather than fine art. But I think that's the only reason why not. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:13, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
