Previous discussions without headers
When I get to the "Recent Changes" page at Wikipedia, it says that it is still at the "Needy" line at the top of the page. However, it is a live link now. Can you please fix this error?? User 66.32.73.125
- I think only very few people can change the main page: super-Admins or whatever they are being called. I did, however, take it off the Requests page. Moncrief 00:32, Mar 28, 2004 (UTC)
- Any admin can change the main page. The other class of user you are describing is a developer. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 00:18, Mar 30, 2004 (UTC)
Updated Recent Court Case
Okay, I found out what happened with the civil suit, the plaintiffs entered a nonsuit, which terminates the proceedings. I couldn't link the page exactly to the case, however, I did link the page that is the gateway to the proceedings. In other words, you have to look up her name in the database.Mike09051 18:37, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Recent Court Case ?
What happened with her recent court case in Fauquier County, Va. There is a court case number, however, on the Court's website it doesn't exist. Mike09051 18:20, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
job?
What was her actual job? Everyone knows about lewinsky but what did she do the other 99% of her time?
Linda Tripp started her career in 1972 in the military secret services. All her jobs have been highly classified. She worked for Army's secret Delta Force at Ft. Bragg, NC and for military intelligence at Ft. Meade, MD. Her job resume states "Operations Assistant" and/or "Administrative Assistant" at US Army Intelligence Headquarters, but she has an estimated 30 years of experience as a military intelligence agent including a stint as an intelligence officer in the Netherlands from 1984-1987 where she was actively involved with the US embassy in the Hague.[1]
Linda Tripp was transferred into the White House from her job with President Bush, Sr. who had presided over the White House operations with Ronald Reagan at the time of the Contragate operations. Linda Tripp at the time was a personal secretary to Richard Secord of the Delta Force team, and a partner in Oliver North's company that assisted in illegally passing funds through to the Nicaraguan rebels.[2]
Regardless of how she styles herself in her resume, Linda Tripp was an "office management specialist" or OMS-- government-speak for secretary. She was never an "intelligence agent." She answered phones, did time sheets, made travel arrangements, etc. There are thousands of similar types employed at the NSC, State, CIA, etc. They are clerical employees, not spies.
Linda Tripp (subject)
Bill Clinton's lawyer was Bob Bennett not Bill Bennett. They are brothers.

Illegality of Phone Call Recording?
I remember that at the time of the "scandal" there was discussion as to whether Tripp's taping of her calls with Lewinsky was illegal under Federal/State law. Would someone confirm this please so that all the relevant articles can be updated. Thank you. --ukexpat 15:13, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
High School?
Is Linda Tripp's high school really the important part of this entry? I really don't think so. So why is it in the header? Put it into a 'biographical information' section if needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.155.105.62 (talk) 21:50, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. A lot of Wikipedia articles on Americans seem to have this obsession about the subject's high school. It would seem to be less of an interesting matter than many other things about a person. Let's keep such trivia low on the prority list. Alpheus (talk) 02:46, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- I think it is because of two things: 1) it appears she didn't graduate from college, so this is a fallback. 2) People like to connect with notable people, as in: "oh, I went to that school too," or a relative, friend, etc. Overall, I think it's harmless. Frank | talk 03:01, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Maryland Wiretap Laws
A previous version of her appearance on the Larry King show stated that she had violated Maryland wiretap laws. It is not fair or accurate to say that if the charges were dismissed before trial. Only a court decides is she violated the law, not wikiwriters in a fact piece.69.136.105.106 (talk) 13:54, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Tripp's Involvement...
"While Tripp maintains she acted out of "patriotic duty," some Americans believe that she betrayed Lewinsky in the hopes of using her knowledge of the relationship to obtain a possible book or movie deal, neither of which has occurred as of 2007."
Then why mention it, and why put patriotic duty in quotes? Even if those words are an exact quote, which would make quotation marks technically true, the sneer in the tone is unmistakable.
