I was going to review the article, but, unfortunately, it's a quick fail.
Reasons - nearly 1/3 of the text is unsourced, there are multiple tags: [citation needed], [better source needed], [needs update] (with an info from 2008), (self-published data). Besided, the aricle is outdated - for example: "As of May 2011, about 8% to 13% of a modern Linux distribution is made of GNU components", "In September 2008, Microsoft's then-CEO Steve Ballmer stated that 60% of web servers ran Linux", "IDC's Q1 2007 report indicated that Linux held 12.7% of the overall server market at that time", "packaged software running Linux was expected to[needs update] exceed $35.7 billion by 2008". Furthermore, the nominator of the article made no contribution to it; I can't recall whether there is any rule about such nominations, but I don't think that all the problems could (and should) be addressed during this review. If the article would be updated and properly sourced, it can be nominated again. Artem.G (talk) 12:58, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- Even stranger is the fact that nominating this article for GA was the editor's first edit... - Ahunt (talk) 13:04, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
