Unreferenced changes[edit]

Whoever keeps adding 'season 2' characters please stop? Or at least if they do, could they please provide an internet reference? MGD11, 8th May 2009

The show is imported to the USA where all the characters have American accents. I'm not sure if that explains why the user has been updating the information? the credits show that there are different names for the voices. Emery has (or seems to have) a female voice in the USA. I have seen both the UK and the US versions (most episodes). Isthatallyoucando (talk) 12:30, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Harrison seems similar to the first power car of the later M-1000X streamliners: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UP_M-10003 -Trainbrain27 26 Jan 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.36.81.138 (talk) 04:06, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Someone keeps changing the Emery character's gender. Whoever is doing it, please stop. Official page here:http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/grownups/about/programmes/chuggington_04.shtml —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.155.209.177 (talk) 19:18, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As mentioned in my comments above, Emery has (or seems to have) a female voice in the USA. This may explain the changes by a user. I don't have anything other than the US videos to support this. Isthatallyoucando (talk) 12:30, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why someone keeps changing the voice credits for the three main trainees. They are children, so adult voice artists will not voice these roles. The artists for the first two series have not been changed! I cannot provide a reference other than to say I am the mother of one, so I guess I should know! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Creepsville (talkcontribs) 08:19, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Following my previous edit, the person who keeps changing the voice credits changed them again and added some bizarre comments about the trainees growing up so they needed "man's voices" in Series 2....Wrong! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Creepsville (talkcontribs) 14:58, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Again, the same IP address is adding false claims about the two boys who voice Wilson and Brewster. You obviously know nothing about the programme or its production, so it would be best to save your comments for those that you do know something about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Creepsville (talkcontribs) 09:24, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited the page as false comments have been made again about the characters of Wilson and Brewster. Is there any way that an IP address can be banned from making additions to a page? I am not certain why someone would make up lies about a children's programme - that's rather odd behaviour. But if this person is contributing to other pages then obviously their comments may be false about them as well.... If anyone else spots these ridiculous edits, could they please edit back to mine? Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Creepsville (talkcontribs) 12:22, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Could the IP number that keeps making the changes please explain why he/she is sabotaging a perfectly good Wiki page? The main trainees are the same voice actors for series 1 and 2. In fact, they are recording series 2 at the moment. Creepsville (talk) 10:31, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that the voice actors are unsourced in both series. WP policy here is that really we should remove the claim for both series, until there's a reliable 3rd party source for them. Andy Dingley (talk) 13:41, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have notified the producers of the show that someone is trying to sabotage the content of this page....so hopefully they will get involved. Verification of the voice credits, can be found from the British Film Classification Website for the DVD releases. I can't provide a direct link as it's too long....but www.bbfc.co.uk If you enter reference AVV271120 Chuggington - Wilson's Smooth Moves; it has the three trainees listed as voice credits. I hate to sound pedantic...but I just can't understand why someone would deliberately try to mislead people.Creepsville (talk) 14:35, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hoot & Toot / 18100 gas turbine[edit]

I've reverted this uncited claim (second time?).

There's no evidence for this. No reference, no storyline connection, no visual resemblance. Hoot & Toot's obvious primary characteristic is that they're articulated. 18100 wasn't. 18100 was also notably a gas turbine, but there's no reference to this in the stories (even just being particularly "greedy" for fuel). As to visual characteristics, the Chuggers are missing the prominent porthole windows behind the cab door, the front windows are different (perhaps understandably, to avoid a 3-eyed Chugger). There's no nose-mounted headlight on 18100, nor a two-tone colour scheme. The Chuggington wikia isn't an adequate source for this. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:28, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Undiscussed merge[edit]

I've just reverted a merge of this article into Chuggington. This was for two reasons:

  • It was undiscussed. Changes of this scope shouldn't be done without some prior notice or discussion.
  • The reason give, "notability" is no reason for merging. If the topic isn't notable, then Category:Chuggington and all related articles should be deleted too. It's bizarre to claim that such a series could be notable, but its characters are not.
