Once Upon a Time (TV series) is produced by ABC Studios for broadcast on the ABC television network. Disney as a large corporate conglomerate owns ABC but ABC and Disney creative products are separate branded items. Most of the Once Upon a Time characters have their own articles such as Mary Margaret Blanchard/Snow White. This article is about the unique Disney characters that have little relationship other than name with the ABC creations. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:31, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
However, these are still the Disney versions of the character. There was no Lady Tremaine, Drizella, and Anastasia in the fairytale, this was all adapted from Disney. Scream4man (talk) 23:13, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
They used the Disney names for their characters but that is about the limit. Elsa, Anna and Kristoff from Frozen who are fully Disney inventions also showed up on the ABC series. The characters in Once Upon a Time are not in the same fictional universes as the Disney products though and are not portrayals of those Disney characters, but of the unique ABC characters of the same name. In the Live-Action remake, there's a man who basically fulfills the Duke's role in the scene where the sisters are trying on the slipper, but I don't think it's him, because not only is he calling out Lady Tremaine, and secondly, he proclaims himself an "officer of the King", and he even looks like a royal guard, or a close advisor. Who is he? I'm curious because I want to add him as well to the list. Triviatronic9000 (talk) 02:17, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
