Zeus

[edit]

I where wondering if Zeus should be noted. Kurumada did after all go through the trouble of drawing him, hinting to Tenkai Hen. [[1]]

Gigantomachia

I filled up on the missing info, from this novel.

Demon Temple Guardians

[edit]

Hi, it would be better to create a section for the demon temples guardians, as they are gold saints equivalents in the underworld. And they are the primary antagonists before Alone. It would then be easier to indentify each of them. Moreover, is Harpie Valentine a guardian ? As he does say that he's actually the guardian of Jupiter while fighting Pandora. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.105.98.208 (talk) 19:36, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You should discuss this in the proper talk page ;) --Refuteku (talk) 21:25, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About Cardinale and Lascomoune.

[edit]

Hello. I wanted to share a few facts I have discovered about them and their names, because I wanted to add the origin of their names in the list, so, if you agree, maybe I can add it then.

About Cardinale and Lascomoune, Kurumada most certainly got their names from Jose Giovanni's La Scomoune movie, which in turn is derived from the original name of his script, L'excommunie (the excomulgated one) . Lascomoune's katakana is the same of the movie minus the punctuation sign. Cardinale's name is virtually certain he got it from Claudia Cardinale, the famous italian sex symbol, since he and Aphrodite share the motif of being named after beautiful women, there is also a type of rose named after her, she also appeared in the movie La Scomoune and as a friend in the forum in spanish I visit often discovered, her birth name is Claudia Josephine Rose Cardinale. Also, the katakana of her name is exactly the same as Cardinale's.

So I guess these points explain that is more than obvious where Kurumada got the names, and also the appearance of Claudia in the movie La Scomoune sheds more light about the correct romanization of the character's name, it would be then Lascomoune and not Raskmoon. It may also be a play on words from Kurumada as the Moune part is transliterated ムーン (mūn), just like moon.

So what do you guys think, would you mind me adding the origin to the list? Or should we leave it as it is for now? Onikiri (talk) 19:49, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You might be right about the origin of the names, but that kind of info should not be added here because it was never explicitly stated elsewhere. Cyn starchaser (talk) 16:15, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Recent reverts

[edit]

I would like to know what it was about my edits that made it uninteligible. I was attempting to correct poor English and condense the text, making it more understandable. Cyn starchaser (talk) 11:12, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have made changes in other occassions which are very much welcome. But one of the goals long sought for this article was to keep it short and with only the necessary text. There is no need of further explanation than what is already there. No need for explaining about the lesser deities, or the antagonists. Thats why the list was splitted in several smaller articles, because it was incredibly long. If you concentrate in adding relevant info on the characters, thats very much welcome. But no additional explanations about the factions is needed as what is there is more than enough. Wikipedia is not a fan site, what is here is a basic explanation of the characters for fans and non-fans. If anyone is interested in further learning, they can search elsewhere more detailed info. Condensing text doesnt help, as it is already condensed as far as it is possible. Only the Gold Saints have longer bios and even theirs are short summaries. Relevant info is what is necessary, not superfluous detail. Onikiri (talk) 19:26, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Relevant info is what is necessary, not superfluous detail", that's hilarious coming from you, the one who thinks that an old guy and a dog deserves to be mentioned in wikipedia only because they have names, ignoring the fact that those are still background, unnecessary and superfluous characters with NO influence to the plot. This is not a fan site, that kind of info is meaningless for wikipedia, fans and no-fans.

Merge from the list of anime-only characters

[edit]

List of Saint Seiya anime-only characters seems like OR-ish split based on unreferenced conclusion what is canon or not. It should be merged here or deleted. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:59, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
