Wrong Airdates

I think some airdate are wrong since it skips from 2003 to 2004 to 2003 back again.

Season Five

Someone deleted season five from the list, but kept all of the others, including season six.

New Episode - Worldwide Day of Play

A new commercial is appearing for the Worldwide Day of Play (September 29) that will feature several new episodes of different shows, including a new episode of SpongeBob. This is Stupid!!

I am Completely fed up of waiting for the episode articles to be improved. Bring them back they don't need improving! This is stupid. The episode articles have been gone for 4 Months! Bring them back now. (Woggy 13:10, 30 September 2007 (UTC))

Instead of complaining about it, why don't you go help? There's people that are working on it, and you can help by clicking the link under "help improve the episode articles". Keep in mind that almost every article violated the following policies/guidelines:
  • WP:TRIVIA - no trivia sections in articles
  • WP:CITE - no references in trivia sections
  • WP:EL and WP:LINKFARM - no links to fansites, Youtube, etc. unless they are needed.
  • WP:PLOT - overly detailed plot sumamries

Pictures

Can't there be any sort of pictures in this article, that would improve it very well, that's what i think, pictures often improve articles in postive or negatvie ways, in this case, it would improve it in the positive way, pictures also do the article more intersting. --Rutherfordjigsaw 13:17, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Atlantis SquarePantis Commercials

New commercials are beginning to air on Nickelodeon for AS. First, they say it's a TV movie. Second, there will be a marathon of episodes voted by the public online at Nick.com. Third, there will be a Behind the Scenes interview during the premiere. Lastly, the commercial says the air date is November 12, 2007, not 11th. Should we be paring down this article as much as we are?

70.190.223.146 has been seriously paring down this article. I am assuming good faith, and maybe it's for the better. But do we really want the article shortened as much as s/he is shortening it? Peteweez 03:28, 19 October 2007 (UTC).

It would be fine if there were individual episode articles, but as there are not, we need summaries of at least a few sentences long. For example, is the article really worth having if all the summaries are as long as "SpongeBob ties his shoes" or "SpongeBob and Patrick get split up by Squidward"? I'm assuming good faith here too, but there's a point at which you just have to revert their edits becuase they are lowering the quality of the article. Well, there's not really much to do round here. You could try going through the summaries and copy-editing them - they do get bad after a long while. You can also watch this page (click "watch") at the top and revert any vandalism you see. NASCAR Fan24(radio me!) 15:49, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I've done the main episode summaries (season 1-5) twice I think, but the shorts at the bottom still need cleanup. And if someone vandalises a page, go into the history (click history at the top of the page) and click "undo" and then "save". You can then leave a warning on their talkpage (by clicking "talk" next to their name) by using one of the templates at WP:WARN. I would recommend leaving a warning becuase it allows you and others to report repeat vandals to Administrator intervention against vandalism. NASCAR Fan24(radio me!) 12:07, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Split?

Okay, this article is getting pretty long. If I go into Print Preview, the article is 22 pages long (letter size), well over the recommended limit of 10 pages. I was thinking along the lines of splitting into articles by season (List of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes, season 1, etc.) and removing the Shorts section (as that doesn't really belong here), or splitting into groups (season 1-2, season 3-4, season 5-6, etc). Episode Pages

Last year, I think it was last year, I found articles for the episodes like for the Family Guy and The Simpsons episode articles, describing the plot and giving trivia and notes for each episode, and now it has been deleted. I would like to put those articles back up. I will start but I will need help from all of you other users. WikiProject SpongeBob SquarePants has specifically asked that episode articles not be created. This is due to the fact that most of the episodes do not pass the notability guidelines for fiction. The articles were also in very bad shape because IP's continually added useless trivia and links to watch the episodes on YouTube. I would not recommend creating them at this time. Yes, references, production details, and reception information are needed for the episodes to have their own articles and trivia is recommended to be avoided on Wikipedia. Go to WP:SBSP to see what you can do to help improve the episode articles. It unfortunately appears that they will never come back. Most of the episodes fail the notability guidelines for fiction and the project to revive the articles has gone stale. Besides, the SpongeBob SquarePants Wikia has a detailed episode guide. NF24(radio me!) 18:17, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

In the future, please raise any issues pertaining to specific season articles on that article's talkpage - if a user who is not SpongeBob-savvy came round, they wouldn't know what you were talking about. I believe you attempted to upload the pictures, Jibajabba, a while back, but they were deleted because they didn't have fair use rationales, IIRC.
