Crater disambiguation

[edit]

When we have run into a situation where there were craters on the Moon and Mars with the same name, the consensus has been to create a disambiguation page. See for example: Copernicus crater.

I'd like to suggest that the Venus craters that have duplicate names on other bodies use the format:

Crater_name (crater on Venus)

so that they correspond to the renamed Mars craters. This was done, for example, with the Meitner (crater) disambiguation page. Thank you! — RJH 18:21, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Li Ching Chao crater - Venus or Mercury?

[edit]

This page says the crater Li Qingzhao (Li Qingchao) is on Venus. The actual crater page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Ch%27ing-Chao_%28crater%29) (http://planetarynames.wr.usgs.gov/Feature/3378http://planetarynames.wr.usgs.gov/Feature/3378) shows it to be on Mercury. Which is it? Thank you. (Lpstribling (talk) 19:43, 25 July 2012 (UTC))[reply]
