Add Coast Guard ships... ?

I just did some clean-up and updating of the watercraft table. I see that it presently only lists USN vessels. Does anybody have an issue with adding USCG vessels? If not, does anyone want to do this? If there's no objections, and no one else steps up, I'll see if I can get it done, at some point, when I have the time. But if anyone has an interest, please feel free... - theWOLFchild 08:13, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

"Wars" (infobox)

I was going to ask this on some individual pages, such as M1911 pistol, M4 carbine, M16 rifle and M60 machine gun, etc... but it's probably better to post this here and hopefully have a centralized discussion to cover all related articles. My question is this; on many of these firearms articles there are various armed conflicts listed under the "Wars" section of the infobox, ranging from world wars to shoot-outs between drug gangs. Some pages don't use the "wars" parameter at all. Do we want some kind of standardization? (is there already a guideline or consensus that covers this?) What conflicts should we be listing? What are the thresholds for inclusion? Also, what should we be excluding? Have a look and discuss... - theWOLFchild 11:59, 14 March 2016 (UTC)

Scope of list ? — Current / active / future and or planned ?

I think the lead section should clearly define the scope of this list !

But what is it ? --GeeTeeBee (talk) 14:58, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

The lead as it now stands is a single sentence, and woefully (or laughably) inaccurate, stating that "The equipment of the United States Armed Forces can be subdivided into four categories: weapons, ammunition, vehicles, and attire."

Which of those categories does the the equipment of a field kitchen fall into? A power generator? A counter-battery radar? The tools and test equipment used in unit or depot level maintenance? Communication equipment? Just plain Bill (talk) 11:39, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

The M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, or SAW, is a infantry light machine gun, that replaced the M60 in the 1950s 198.44.213.18 (talk) 18:27, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Since the M249 light machine gun was introduced in 1984, that can not be correct. You will need to exactly what you want changed and provide a reliable source for the change. ~ GB fan 18:39, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
