Major Characters/Villains[edit]

Hebi/Snake are included on this page, despite being villains. While Sasuke is clearly a major character, Orochimaru and Kabuto are listed on the villains page, and they're clearly major characters, too. Much more 'major' then the vast majority of characters listed on this page.

I think there should be consistency here. Either Orochimaru and Kabuto should be listed on this page (with a redirect for Kabuto and Hebi from the villains page (Orochimaru has his own article so he can easily be linked from both), or Hebi should moved to the villains page, with redirects for all of them from here. Personally I suggest the former. Since this page makes no claims about characters being heroes or villains, it should be what it says it is. A list of major Naruto characters. And if the characters we have listed on here are considered major, the Orochimaru and Kabuto certainly are.Kuwabaratheman (talk) 08:03, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hebi was never considered a villain until now.Tintor2 (talk) 09:14, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Come again? Hebi is made up of a group of villains. How can they not be considered villains? Even foregoing that, I'd still argue that Orochimamru and Kabuto belong on this page.Kuwabaratheman (talk) 14:58, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Snake has not actively fulfilled a "villainous" role. They have done little to oppose any of the protagonists (so far only a Naruto shadow clone), and have regularly fought what are clearly villains of the series (Orochimaru and three Akatsuki members). If anything they are in anti-heroes, not villains. ~SnapperTo 18:55, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps. At the same time, shouldn't this article be what it says it is? A "List of major Naruto characters"? Neither the title nor anywhere in the article specify that the article should exclude villains. Orochimaru and Kabuto have been around since almost the very start of the series, and have appeared in basically every single arc (up to his 'death' for Orochimaru and still going for Kabuto) aside from the first arcs of Part 1 and Part 2. Given that, it would seem logical to me that they be placed under the major characters section.Kuwabaratheman (talk) 19:40, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A line needs to be drawn somewhere or else the article starts to become too long. Since a considerable portion of the characters in the villains list could be considered "major", this article would effectively double its already formidable length. Would a See also section suffice? That is the best that could feasibly be done aside from moving this article to a new name yet again. ~SnapperTo 05:29, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What next?[edit]

Yes, we should be proud, two GA-Class articles, and another two seemingly just around the corner. But once those are done and gone, what should we do with the other character articles? Should we try to at least change to format to look a little more like our GAs? Or should we just leave them how they are and eventually forget them? Yes, the chances of them making GA are none at all, but shouldn't we treat them the same as the others? Artist Formerly Known As Whocares (talk) 18:16, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is your point Artist? Do you have some article in your mind to improve?Tintor2 (talk) 19:05, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Because of Septhiroth's recent proposal on the List of Naruto characters talk page, I won't say any specifics. Whatever does get kept, however, should be fine tuned to look like the ones already are GA-Class. It wouldn't be nice looking for us to concentrate on a few character article and ignore the others. Anything kept, and only on the basis of out-of-universe info, should be treated just the same. Artist Formerly Known As Whocares (talk) 20:07, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sai seperate Article?[edit]

Hey i was thinking we should have Sai his own seperate page. He has so far been in both series of Shippuden and he has done some recognizable things like the betrayal and stuff and replacing sasuke. And it does look like he will be in it more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.145.241.216 (talk) 19:34, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see Sai gaining much from his own article. There's no creation information on him as far as I know (if there is info somewhere, such as Volume extras, it should be added into his section in this article), and not really any reception information, either. It would just be the current two paragraphs expanded slightly, and plot summary of his first arc (since he really hasn't done much but stand around and look pretty since then). If a significant amount of out of universe information becomes available on him, sure, but until then he should stay on this article. Kuwabaratheman (talk) 21:51, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah good point there. Hm maybe we could give him an article if he appear's in at least 2 more series? I Think already he has more appearances than choji who has been in it sicne the beginning. But what you said count's so oki doki. Cheerz ^_^

Wrong Ages?[edit]

I noticed that all the ages of characters after the time-skip are only one year older then the first ages. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the time-skip about two or three years long? XenoGeno 17:34, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

None of the post-time skip ages have been listed on any of the characters. Only their pre-time skip ages are listed. --Farix (Talk) 20:26, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hinata's page[edit]

GAH where did the whole page about hinata go? Did someone delete it? It used to be very useful, now what's left is hardly useful. All the main info is gone ! - 24.0.220.96 (talk) 03:31, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
