Other ethnic groups

[edit]

While visiting NYC recently, I also heard what sounded like a Greek and a Jewish music station? Are these full-time formats? Are there other ethnic formats? -- Beland (talk) 22:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In past years I would suspect WEVD which gave an hour or two per day to each of these languages and several others. Nowadays other stations do this but I haven't kept track. WEVD changed a few years ago and dropped foreign languages. I know of no monolingual (or nearly monolingual) stations except in English and Spanish. Do we really need this article?

[edit]

We already have many of these formats listed on Category:Radio formats, so is this technically considered redundant? --Schala 20:47, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
