Rename article to "Network Connected Media Player"?[edit]
"Net" in "List of Net Connected Media Players" is slang for Network or more specifically LAN (Local Area Network), and "NET" is not a know or commonly accepted acronym for "Network", and since one usually do not use slang in a Wikipedia article I strongly suggest to rename this article to "List of Network Connected Media Players" instead. 164.4.17.36 (talk) 11:31, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
SoC, CPU, GPU, VPU are not the same so should be separated in table index[edit]
SoC (System on Chip), CPU (Central Processing Unit), GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), and VPU (Video Decoding Unit) are not the same in a media player so should be separated in table index. 164.4.17.36 (talk) 11:42, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Xbox 360 should not be listed as a media player on this list[edit]
In my opinion Xbox 360 game-console can not be classified within the scope of a "Media Player" device to make it onto this list, and neither can it be classified a Smart TV device yet either, because when you buy a Xbox 360 you go pout and buy it as a game-console for playing games, and not to mainly use it as a media player. Just as there are some small games for Ruku media player available now but you would not add it to a list of game-consoles, because it is mainly bought asa media player and not for playing video games. 164.4.17.36 (talk) 14:22, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- Also note that regarding Xbox 360 as a Smart TV device, it have no public SDK (Software Development Kit) for apps nor an app store, such as the iPhone/iPad and other Smart TV devices have. And since user installable apps/addons/plugins which is kind of the definition of a Smart TV platform/middleware the the Xbox 360 does not yet quite fit the bill, but if and when the Xbox 360 gets an app store just like the iPhone/iPad then I think that it can be called a Smart TV platform/middleware.164.4.17.36 (talk) 14:22, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
