[edit]

This article is the first article of, and it is a sampling for, the reworking of solo piano works on Wikipedia. Currently (previously?), there are many lists of lists of lists of pieces, but this method has proved inefficient. As an example, the method in question has three separate locations where Beethoven's piano pieces can be found; none of those lists are identical. Per the deletion discussion for that multiple-list method, the proposal is to create relevant categories that will help to eliminate this duplication. By creating this article and getting started right, we can set some guidelines and rules for listing solo piano pieces.

Why did this Become a Separate Article?

[edit]

I understand the creator of this article's reasoning for wanting to get rid of Lists of solo piano pieces. But there is no reason that this page should be separate from the main Beethoven works page. That page is not that large, and even if it is, removing this one subsection is hardly a way to make it smaller. See also the discussion on that page.
