Good work[edit]

Good work on finishing this, but we probably ought to revise the figures per the 08-09 report which is now out (and yes they will have changed). The situation with regard to duplicate commemorations in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh probably ought to be mentioned here too, the report say "India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have identical Memorials to the Missing in the Bombay and Chittagong 1939-1945 Memorials, each commemorating the same 6,470 casualties, and the Delhi and Karachi 1939-1945 Memorials, each commemorating the same 25,866 casualties. The statistics are quoted only within the commemoration figures for INDIA." David Underdown (talk) 19:00, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was actually just about to start doing that. I am trying to add in notes where necessary. I'm going to put both reports side by side and see where the differentiations are. I also expect to see a jump in the France figure due to the new Australian cemetery.--Labattblueboy (talk) 19:09, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've done up to Israel, and then reverted back to the old figures so we maintain consistency. There did seem to be some typos in the current numbers, transposition of figures, and things left the same from one line to the next (it is of course possible that there are some errors in either or both of the reports...). The report only goes up to July this year, so I'm not sure to what extent Fromelles is actually incldued yet, I think they were still doing recovery at that point, and hadn't really started building work. I don't think anything has been added to the register yet. David Underdown (talk) 19:23, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Updated to 2008-2009 figures, with notes included.--Labattblueboy (talk) 21:32, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gaza War Cemetery[edit]

Why is the Gaza War Cemetery, in Palestine, not on the list of Commonwealth War Graves? 2A02:C7C:38A7:2400:1096:7E3C:93E3:B5E1 (talk) 12:40, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@2A02:C7C:38A7:2400:1096:7E3C:93E3:B5E1:, it is on the list [1]-Labattblueboy (talk) 14:38, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For the purposes of this article Isreal and Palestine are grouped together. This is because this is how the CWGC releases their reporting. I would argue that if CWGC starts to separate the statistics that this article would do the same.-Labattblueboy (talk) 12:37, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
