Redirect[edit]

Shouldn't this page redirect to League of Legends? If someone takes the trouble of capitalizing the second L while the o is lowercase, they're very probably looking for League of Legends. ~Bobogoobo (talk) 21:48, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. No one intentionally capitalizes the second "l" and expects to get LOL as the target page. If they take the effort to capitalize only the first and second letter, then their intention is most likely League of Legends. I've updated it. - M0rphzone (talk) 19:48, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

there are other uses also, like 'Lord of Light' isn't it? --ThurnerRupert (talk) 10:00, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

See above, LoL usually means League of Legends--Dabao qian (talk) 12:44, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The edit history shows that League of Legends game is not the WP:primary topic by the criteria of long term significance. The article about the game was created on 6 March 2009, while the first version of this redirect was created 11 December 2005, redirecting to LOL. Now the game does appear to be the PT by recent common usage criteria, but that may be because the demographics of players of the game are in close alignment with Wikipedia editors. Interestingly enough, the October 2006 version of this had another take on the meaning of "League of Legends", predating the game. Wbm1058 (talk) 03:25, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
