To merge[edit]

Does anyone have a preference as to whether this article merges into Load profile or vice versa? Jim.henderson (talk) 13:03, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Support: with preference to merge this article into Load profile.
Motivations:
  • Both terms look indeed related. In one place I saw the clear definition that both are the same, and several articles mix the terms. But reading a lot more articles, I get more and more the impression that load curve is the detailed measurement of load, while load profile is the aggregation of several load curves in a certain category. So we get the domestic load profile, commercial load profile, industrial load profile, etc
  • Load profile is giving much more hits in google over load curve (4M versus 220k).
My investigation till now. SchreyP (messages) 20:11, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Then, I'll go ahead after waiting a few more days for objections or suggestions. A sentence outlining finer distinctions or explanations can wait until afterwards unless someone thinks it is urgently required. Jim.henderson (talk) 12:40, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
