Infobox and lead

[edit]
  • Infobox looks good!
  • "his seventh studio album" → "his seventh studio album,"
  • Add a sentence after the writing/production one mentioning that in 1996 the song was released as the album's lead single
  • "The song, along with the rest of the album, is a" → "It is a" because the entirety of the album's musical style is not notable
  • "tune in which" → "tune, in which"
  • "The song was met with positive" → "The song received positive"
  • Add a comma after music critics
  • "who called it a standout from Fresco." → "being identified by them as a standout from the album."
  • ""Loco de Amor" was nominated for" → "It was nominated for"
  • "chart where it spent eight weeks on this position." → "chart, spending eight weeks at this position on the latter chart."
  • Mention in the music video sentence that it is set in a barn

Background and composition

[edit]
  • Remove pipe on Fresco
  • "produced by Sergio George and Cuto Soto" → "that was produced by Sergio George and Cuto Soto in full"
  • "The songs in the album were" → "The album's songs were"
  • "Mary Lauret, and Alejandro Vennazi." → "Mary Lauret and Alejandro Vennazi" plus mention specifically in this sentence that Lauret composed the song since the chorus can be in its own sentence
  • The album being called a salsa release can stay in background but is not enough to source the song's genre; add a sentence saying "Musically "Loco de Amor" is a salsa song." or something similar, using the Vista ref to back this up
  • "Rivera sings in the chorus:" → "On the chorus, Rivera sings:" but this is not backed up by [1]

Promotion and reception

[edit]
  • "praised it "a" → "praised the track as "a"
  • "called one of the album's stand outs while Billboard editor John Lannert cited as" → "called the track one of the album's stand outs while Billboard editor John Lannert cited it as"
  • Remove usage of the before Cashbox
  • "regarded it as" → "regarded the song as"
  • "The track was recognized as" → "It was recognized as"
  • "In the US," → "In the United States," per MOS:US
  • "chart where it spent eight weeks on" → "chart, where it spent eight weeks at"
  • "it ended 1996" → "the song ended 1996"

Notes

[edit]
  • The punctuation should only be inside speech marks if it is like that for the original quote; edit the prose if this is the case
