The witch was apparently drowned at Wilstone, not Long Marston: http://www.stcross.nildram.co.uk/witch.html

That has long been a matter for debate, and as far as I am aware no reliable records were ever kept. Rvalkass 19:24, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's been pretty much unanimously accepted that it was in Wilstone Green and many sources detail the witch being kept in the Half Moon before she was killed (http://www.wilstone.me.uk/page5.htm)
