Guardian (UK) article "US billionaire wins high court order over Wikipedia 'defamation'"

All editors that think they are invisible and protected in some magic way from legal action against them and that they can use wikipedia to attack living people are mistaken and if they think wikipedia foundation will allow them to do that and protect them and their identity from prosecution they are foolishly mistaken. How is the Wikipedia Foundation going to identify a user such as myself, who is accessing Wikipedia from a public wifi point? I don't believe it is at all practicable. 86.170.179.76 (talk) 13:07, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Editing via a hotspot is not a guarantee on anonymity, ISP providers can be requested to provide locations and mail accounts accessed and suchlike. The best is to play nice imo. Editing with a IP address gives you less anonymity here than creating an account. Off2riorob (talk) 13:17, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

I think the key word you're neglecting is 'PUBLIC Wifi'. Many cafe's and other places have free public WIFI. The IP address only traces back to the Cafe and there isn't any way to identify the user. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.214.20.58 (talk) 16:27, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Starbucks has free WIFI but you have to get a card. So you'd have to have given false information when filling in the form for this card. Some Free WiFi spots track which websites you visit for advertising etc, and leave cookies. You can't be sure how much information they collect about you. eg Checking email. Lead needs NPOV editing

This text containing random details about his company does not belong in a BLP. I am storing it here so that it can be used to create a stand alone article on Moore Capital Management:

In May 2010, Moore Capital Management had its worst month ever with losses of 9.2% according to the London Evening Standard. In September 2010, the firm had $4,118 million in US Equity assets under management. "Suspicious death"

This has WP:BLP issues, as it could be seen as implying wrongdoing by Louis Bacon. There also needs to be stronger sourcing than Suspicious Death at American Billionaire resident in Lyford Cay, Bahamas to establish why this is notable enough to mention.--♦IanMacM♦ ^{(talk to me)} 16:20, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

The references are from an article full of "alleged" and "on deeper investigation" with no further explanation. There is nothing to connect this to Bacon that I can find other than place. It is definitely WP:UNDUE, if not entirely circumstantial and misleading. Bielle (talk) 17:22, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
