There are, quite naturally, no separate articles to "disambiguate": both are at Loulan Kingdom; whether or not it was a "kingdom" is not known. Gardner Loulan is not what the Wikipedia reader searching "Loulan" is normally looking for.--Wetman (talk) 16:47, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Loulan is mentioned as a 'guo' (translated as: kingdom, state, or country) which was dependent on Shanshan in the 3rd century CE history, the Weilűe. Most of the small states or 'guo' mentioned in the Weilűe are best translated as "kingdoms" as they are usually described as being ruled by a "wang" ('king') who, in most cases was an hereditary ruler.
