Article rewritten / 2023-01[edit]

I have rewritten the article completely, as the previous version consisted of unsourced speculation only.

"born c. 1750": obviously a misunderstanding from "fl. c. 1750", given that his only surviving concerto is commonly dated in mid-18th century or shortly after.
"... was a prominent ...": cannot have been so prominent, as absolutely nothing is known about his biography.
"... Italian composer": "Italian" seems to be derived from the first name "Luigi", but this name itself is absolutely unsourced. The family name "Otto" seems to indicate that he was rather German. Given that Italianizing names was common fashion among musicians in the 18th century, there is absolutely no reason to assume that he may have been of Italian origin.
"Only one of his works remain, Rondino": no rondino is documented, his only surviving work is his trumpet concerto (unless we agree to the recent theory that he might be identical with the symphony composer Giovanni Otto)
