Questions

Just a couple of questions:

Is "tributary" the right word? A tributary is a small stream flowing into a larger river. Wouldn't it be more accurate to say: "The Lunga River is a river on the northern coast of Guadalcanal, that empties into Ironbottom Sound at Lunga Point." Or maybe that the mouth of the river is on Ironbottom Sound.
Savo Island is about 35km to the north-west of Lunga Point. Is it correct to use the word "opposite"?
