Ottoman cannons[edit]

1570/1 was definitely not the first time the Ottomans used cannons. Maybe it was a new type of cannon they were testing out, maybe they were just destroying stuff for fun. Either way, it definitely wasn't the first times cannons were deployed by an Ottoman army. (192.76.8.94 (talk) 19:25, 22 September 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Comments in 2007[edit]

Lymbia is the correct name, pronounced in the exact way as the natives call it. Lympia was a proposal.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Neo ^ (talkcontribs) 02:57, August 21, 2007 (UTC)

I am afraid you are wrong. Lympia is the official spelling used by the Republic of Cyprus, read this document if you wish [1] Can't you see that even the residents of Lympia (lympiotes) spell their village this way? Check out their official website [2]! Have a look at a Cyprus (government produced) map [3] Georgeg 08:53, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
