Comments:
- The sentence "M-28 Business Route (BUS M-28) was a state trunkline highway serving as a business route running for 9.0 miles (14.5 km) through the downtown district of Newberry in the US state of Michigan." sounds wordy.
- "partially turned back to local" sounds awkward.
- "decommissioned" is a possible neologism. Can another word be used?
- Remove second link to M-28 in lead.
- The lead of the article is a little short. Can more information be added?
- The route description sounds a little dry. Can more descriptive information about the physical surroundings be added?
- Change "In downtown Newberry, M-28A followed M-48 south and back to M-28." to say "In downtown Newberry, M-28A followed M-48 south, returning to M-28."
- Can you add a picture of the route as it looks today, a historical picture of the route, or an old map scan to the article?
I am placing the article on hold. Dough4872 (talk) 01:37, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Replies:
- Reworded.
- Was missing the word "control" so it should read better now. Please advise if it doesn't.
- Word swapped, but the word is acceptable per other previous discussions.
- Done.
- I played with the wording a bit, to break it into two paragraphs.
- Since the highway designation hasn't existed in over 50 years, any sources I have access to currently would be about the current physical surroundings, not the ones that existed then.
- Reworded.
- I added a scan of the October 1, 1952 map showing the Newberry area and BUS M-28.
Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Imzadi1979 (talk) 05:12, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- I will pass the article. Dough4872 (talk) 16:09, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
