Copyvio

[edit]

The article seems to have been copied from [1] (http://www.mivascript.org/, page All About Miva®). The page says: "© 2004 - 2005 MivaScript.org". — AdiJapan  06:54, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Press releases

[edit]

I deleted some content that was basically a press release or advertizing material, e.g. a claim that a particular company had especial merit and an email address for it. Surely whatever encyclopedic material was in that section can be re-added in an appropriate way. rewinn 22:46, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Input

[edit]

Yeah, this article is not only an ADVERT ("native dbase support through a proprietary (but very fast!) driver..."), but is also a link farm, to increase the page rank of their own website. This page, because it belongs to wikipedia, has a larger page rank than it SHOULD have (because it doesn't have enough links in to earn a page rank of 5!!!), and as a result of this page linking to their website so many times, their website has a page rank of 4 (which is fairly high). Had this page not linked to their page more than once, their rank would only be a 3, or less. Had this page not been on wikipedia, the same holds true. (p.s.: i'm new, so i'm not even sure i am creating a comment correctly). Ionisis (talk) 22:36, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

History of miva forum post

[edit]

The citation of Joe's forum post is a good reference for a brief history of Miva. Not sure why is shouldn't be considered legitimate?
