Article creation & sources used

I created this article translating the existing one in the Dutch Wikipedia. The NO was an important heavy truck/prime mover of World War II, hence the interest in this vehicle and rationale for the article; which I plan to expand once other secondary sources can be located.
Please note that I was unable to find a copy of the book cited, to improve the inline citations already in the article, and to and ensure that the translation was accurate (I do not speak or write Dutch!); so any help in this aspect will be greatly appreciated. Doyle, David (2003). Standard catalog of U.S. Military Vehicles. Kraus Publications. ISBN 0-87349-508-X. will have a little, but it should be a solid source. I’ll look.

Warth, Thomas E. (1998). Mack Trucks Photo Gallery. Iconografix. ISBN 1-882256-88-3. has a couple pics with lame captions, basically worthless, sorry.

Metric vs SAE

There are some mixed units. As a designed, built, and used by the US, should SAE numbers be used first, with metric (converted)? They were only used in metric countries as surplus, correct?

The US has long used 155mm guns and 8" (203mm?) howitzers in similar mounts, sometimes with barrels interchangeable. 240mm comes out as over 9", is that right? Sammy D III (talk) 21:57, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The 155mm gun/203mm howitzer would be one load for a Mack. There was also a 203/240, twice as heavy, which was two loads, barrel and carriage. The 203 gun was not used, only the 240 howitzers. Sammy D III (talk) 01:43, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
