Marla Maples was engaged in 1999 to novelist Norman Mailer's son Michael but they never married.

Marla Maples was mentioned on VH1's Best Week Ever, saying, "... and according to wikipedia, that's all she's really known for" in reference to marrying Donald Trump. I thought that was pretty cool.

Socialite, humanitarian and/or activist?

I do not know much about this individual.

Wikimedia received a request that the description omit socialite, and replace with humanitarian and activist.

Obviously, to do the replacement, we need some reliable sources using those terms or reasonably close synonyms.

However, the same holds true for "socialite" which may not be viewed as positive by some people. I see it in the lede, but not in the body. Is it supported by a reliable source? If not, it should be removed.

Can we reach a consensus on which terms are apropos?--SPhilbrick (Talk) 01:06, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Pretty skimpy bio

Pretty skimpy bio. Not even a mention of the Chuck Jones mess. I mean, after all, he was her publicist even before she met Trump. But no mention of him and his arrests/convictions at all. Temporal anomalies

"She was the second wife of the former US president Donald Trump; they married in 1993, had one daughter, Tiffany, and divorced in 1999."

DJT was not a "former US president" at the time they were married. Perhaps what's needed here is just "second wife of Donald Trump". 203.13.3.93 (talk) 01:31, 4 May 2021 (UTC)
