Removed due to inaccuracy
I removed part of the line in reference to the episode Lethal Weapons that said "Dear Meg, for the first four years of you life I thought you were a house-cat. And another one from Stewie reads "get out"." I removed the "And another one from Stewie reads "get out"." as this is actually from Peter to Stewie, not Stewie to Meg. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.102.146.38 (talk) 17:36, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
GA or B article
should we put a nomination on meg or put her on B rated. --Pedro J. the rookie 23:24, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Not Peter's biological daughter
It was stated in Season 3, Episode 13 "Screwed the Pooch" that Meg's real father is not Peter. The article should be altered for accuracy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.189.8 (talk) 05:09, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- No, just a joke. CTJF83 GoUSA 05:25, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

- For a brief, one-time joke made 8 years ago and never referred to again, this is covered pretty comprehensively in the first footnote, and linked from the character infobox. That's plenty. / edg ☺ ☭ 11:52, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Recent episodes
Just thought I'd point out that Meg is showing a much more agressive streak in recent episodes. In "April In Quahog," she discusses killing stray cats, in another episode, she pulls her tooth out after telling Lois that she and her boyfriend use her underwear in S&M games and make fun of Lois. In "Quagmire's Dad," she tells Ida that she lost the only friend she had in the house after she insulted her accidentally (which she probably would have just let go without a fight in previous episodes.) Just saying we ought to be keeping an eye on this for future updates. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.71.237 (talk) 00:26, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Just thought that I'd point out that in the episode that aired on 11/7/10 (2010 Halloween Special) We see Meg with her brother Chris in a closet at a party making out. And even though that they both initially freak out, by the end of the episode they seem more open to what they had done.66.66.222.122 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:08, 8 November 2010 (UTC).
Is it worth noting that the family has been much less cruel to Meg ever since she returned from prison? I've been watching all of season 8 today, and I've notcied that she was being treated as badly as ever before the prison episode, but not a single episode after it has had any jokes at her expense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.108.5.2 (talk) 17:48, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- It is WP:OR to say she is being treated worse since she went to prison in Dial Meg for Murder. A reliable source is needed to verify. CTJF83 17:51, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Dangerous behavior
I was just wondering why the "Dangerous Behavior" section of this article was removed? I think it's a pretty integral part of Meg's character. 112.201.252.31 (talk) 09:13, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Much of this and related articles needs to be deleted
This show has nearly zero continuity, even within a single episode, much less across the entire season. All of the "so-and-so happened in thus-and-such episode" detail is essentially worthless "noise". The main result of this trivia's presence in this article is that it reads like it was written by eighth-graders, and it gets worse and worse as the show continues and more pointless details emerge. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō)ˀ Contribs. 21:33, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- At this point I just think of Family Guy articles as a big sandbox.
- I don't think deletion is feasible—the "Giant Chicken" article has been created at least 3 times—but as long as there are eighth-graders, Family Guy character articles will be written from an in-universe perspective, and composed almost entirely of plot detail since the show (along with FG tie-in products) is the only source for this information. Perhaps better-written articles will emerge after Family Guy goes off the air. / edg ☺ ☭ 11:03, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
Goody-two-shoes description
There is obvious proof that Meg Griffin is a goody-two-shoes. She never stands up to her family or other antagonists and she doesn't act like the other teenagers or family members. She never rebels at school or against the family and in "A Fish Out of Water", she wasn't even trying to act like the other teenagers on Spring Break. So if I need more evidence to prove that Meg is a goody-two-shoes, don't hesitate to ask. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.231.235 (talk) 00:38, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
- What you're providing is original research, which Wikipedia cannot accept. To elaborate, you are basically ascertaining information on your own using Meg's behavior/actions from particular episodes. Davejohnsan (talk) 01:30, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
- Dave is correct. CTF83! 23:39, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
I put that Meg Griffin was the most bland and uptight member of the Griffin family because the episodes make it obvious. She differs from other people her age by personality. She never drinks or does drugs or anything else rebelliously. She never fights or confronts her antagonists. She never plays pranks or plots revenge against others except for on very rare occasions. All she ever does is whine, complain, and mope about life and how she doesn't fit in. She takes her problems out on herself instead of fighting for her rights for respect or reinventing herself. That is who I consider to be bland and uptight. If there is any more evidence you need, please don't hesitate to ask.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.231.235 (talk)
- I'm sorry, those are still just your own opinions and do not belong in the article. DP76764 (Talk) 20:18, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Meg in the 12th Grade
I put that Meg is a Senior because in the 10th season, she becomes 18 and at her intelligence, it is unlikely that she was held back a a year.
- You put possibly a senior so you don't seem that certain about it. Personally I don't see the need in mentioning this in the infobox when this can be detailed in prose. Davejohnsan (talk) 04:38, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
- I am certain that she's a Senior. They just haven't announced it yet. I just put possibly because I thought you would disagree. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.231.235 (talk) 00:57, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
- Because you thought I would disagree? How flattering. So what exactly are you hoping this will accomplish? Davejohnsan (talk) 03:09, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
- I am certain that she's a Senior. They just haven't announced it yet. I just put possibly because I thought you would disagree. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.231.235 (talk) 00:57, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Please. No sarcasm. You know what? I know Meg's a Senior. She's 18 and it's very unlikely that she was held back a year. Plus she has different classes than during seasons 4 thru 9. That's most of how I get my hunch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.148.231.235 (talk) 03:38, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- Does it matter what grade she is in? When has a storyline ever revolved around if she is a junior or senior? It's in no way important to her character. CTF83! 03:56, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Meg's FULL Name
In the s12e04 episode, "A Fistful of Meg", Meg's friends address her as "Megan", Meg tells her friends that the name "Meg" is actually short for "something else". A flashback cutaway shows Peter in the hospital with Lois immediately after Meg's birth. When Lois hands him Meg's birth certificate, asking him to "give it to the doctor", he changes the name on her birth certificate from "Megan" to "Megatron". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.203.180.84 (talk) 05:11, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
- We are not in the habit of incorporating 1-off gags into articles about these characters (this is also why you won't find all of Peter's random ancestors or jobs listed). DP76764 (Talk) 15:40, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
Apologies for my earlier display of butthurt. You raise a valid argument, but at what point does it stop being a 1-off gag and become canon? There's supposedly an official document within the show's reality supporting "Megatron" as Meg's full name, and Meg herself says her full name ISN'T "Megan" within the primary narrative flow of the show, (as opposed to in a cutaway gag). At the very least, she should just be listed as "Meg" Griffin, omitting "Megan", because Meg clearly refuted that, even if her REAL full name is subject to debate. It might be a 1-off gag, but that didn't keep Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons from being named "Jeff Albertson" on HIS page forevermore despite that being a 1-off gag. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.203.180.84 (talk) 02:53, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- It takes more than 1 episode/cutaway gag to reach "that point" of being included. Perhaps once the DVD of the season comes out there will be some commentary on it; that would be a good source to use. DP76764 (Talk) 04:29, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Also, she's been called Megan more than once. CTF83! 00:27, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- Megatron aside, her name should be listed as Meg, not Megan. -Xcuref1endx (talk) 23:48, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
- Family Guy Wikia has the policy of "Nothing is canon." Plus, I don't know if Peter changing Lois's birth certificate means anything in Newport County law. Andrea Carter (at your service | my good deeds) 09:55, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
- FG on Wikia has no relevance or bearing here, but thanks for the note. DP76764 (Talk) 21:25, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello, My name is Mr.Socool27 (talk) 01:17, 13 November 2013 (UTC). Only recently Meg Griffin died, so I feel it is necessary to add a section or comment about her death. Info: Meg died of shock 1 year after flashing the school bully in a fight with him.
Thanks, Mr.Socool27 (talk) 01:17, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Meg's real name, or aka is Megatron. Peter changes it in season 12, episode 4 called A Fistful of Meg
