This was on the article page for a month with no comments. I have decided to be bold and make the move since it appears to be a proper change. Vegaswikian 02:49, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on Content[edit]

The article, as of 26 June, states that the galaxies are "presently" colliding. But if the galaxies are 290 million light years away, then shouldn't they have collided 290 million years ago? Unless of course it is still an ongoing process, since I have no knowledge of how long it takes for galaxies to finish colliding. I'm assuming a very long time. [Gatetrekker05]

The discussion refers to "upper and lower" galaxys but the only photo shows both about the same height and that makes it totally ambiguous, one cannot determine which galaxy the paragraph is discussing. Chanaging to text to a "left and right" description would be the right choice here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Radzewicz (talkcontribs) 16:11, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Before the collision, what was the larger galaxy ?[edit]

I have the thought on what galaxy was larger. What does NGC 4676 b mean? If it was the larger galaxy before the merger, why is it designated as B?--THE COLOSSAL GALAXY NAMED IC1101 (talk) 11:15, 23 July 2020 (UTC) User 122.2.30.162 4;31 UTC, July 3, 2020 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.2.30.162 (talk) 04:31, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
