All Wrong

A mini skirt is above the knee caps, and a micro skirt is halfway down the thighs, or shorter. Whoever re-did the wikipedia article has a clear agenda. While the skirts this wikipedia article has been focused on are micro skirts, most micro skirts/micro dresses cover the privates and panties completely, so you can actually wear them outside your home. Micro skirts are not stripper garments or lingerie. It is the next step up in skirt length after mini skirts. Let me guess, whomever thinks micros all fail to cover your privates also thinks the true designation of micro skirts are mini skirts, don't they? Whomever wrote this page did not do any research on the subject before blabbing away on it.

While this page has been corrected for improvement since I posted that "All Wrong" piece... It is still stating that micro skirts always show part of the buttocks. No, they don't. "Beltskirt" refers to the type of skirt that does expose the butt, panties, etc. Beltskirts are lingerie, while micro skirts are everyday clothes. This used to be stated on the wikipedia article for micro skirts a long time ago, but someone at some point re-did the entire page, making it inaccurate.

Pussy Pelmet

Google search [1]

"a couple of Google hits don't make this acceptable" - the reason for your undo then is based largely on what you perceive as poor taste. Which makes you a censor, not anyone's job on Wikipedia I was given to understand. A couple I understand to be two, this is inaccurate on your part, please try to be more exact and on policy.

A UK national newspaper is in one of those Goggle hits. From the interview you must deduce that it is a slang term, and the fact that it is referred to in a national, respected paper means it is in common usage, perhaps only in the UK? Reverting. 87.115.49.30 (talk) 15:20, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

  • Eh, how do you jump to censorship? Be careful here: policy won't allow you to infer personal motivation from my edit. BTW, your Google search is far from meaningful. If you had done this search you would actually have come up with some more hits, but that still doesn't amount to notability for a slang term used only a couple of times. Yes, "couple"--"often used to mean any small number."[2] Drmies (talk) 15:29, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

I deduced censorship from your use of the word "acceptable". Do you deny that you personally find the usage bad taste? Or do you feel that it may cause offence in others? That one, or both of these reasons is your major reason for undoing the pussy pelmet edit?

That is a better Google search, so good. I disagree, your search is more than enough to tell us that it is a widespread slang term. I disagree with your count of couple; use "few" to indicate a low number more than two. 87.115.49.30 (talk) 15:37, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
