Deletion Proposal[edit]

1) this is no different to List of CSI: NY characters, with significant overlap 2) several of the characters here, especially Adam Ross and Sid Hammerback have their own pages, and this is duplication. Many of those remaining could be covered easily in CSI:NY. Travellingcari (talk) 02:52, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They could not be covered adequately in CSI:NY without burdening that page with too much info. As it is, only characters who are listed in the opening credits are covered on the main page. Now, if you feel the information here should be covered on other articles, shouldn't you be using a merge proposal instead of a prod? A prod seems rather inappropriate considering there is information here not covered in other articles. Consider this a contest of your prod. If you want to talk about merger proposals, that will be a different story. Redfarmer (talk) 15:46, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Prod seems entirely inappropriate but I'd be surprised if these two character lists weren't merged, sooner or later. Both pages are relatively small compared to some of the ridiculously long character lists you get for something like Harry Potter. The heavy use of tables also makes List of CSI: NY characters seems more crowded than it really is. I'd strongly support a merge I think it would be a lot clearer to have just one list for CSI:NY characters, to merge this minor list into the main character list (but still keep most of it off the main article). -- Horkana (talk) 09:49, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
