Release to DVD

I don't understand why this movie wasn't released to DVD, since it did have some prominait actors, and the movie was great! When I say I love a movie I love a movie, and this is number one on my favorite movie list. I seen this before I had children and we all have children or some sort. To make a long story short I want my children to see it.
