Talk:Moongarden
This article is rated Stub-class on Wikipedia's content assessment scale. It is of interest to the following WikiProjects: | |||||||||||

Simply refer to the citations for notability. This is a significant progrock band, listed in GEPR, 3 albums, aclaimed, commercial success, available on Amazon [1], rave reviews. Not a "nobody band." WHY would anybody flag it for deletion? Please explain. Meets all criteria for wikipedia inclusion. PLEASE LOOK BEFORE YOU DELETE. Started as a stub (I just couldn't believe no article already existed), hoping for contributions from other authors. Gekritzl 01:22, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- When I tagged it, the only reference was a few lines in an 'Encyclopedia of Gibraltan Music', or similar... I don't really think that is enough, although it's up to an administrator to decide. Of the other three references added, one was a link to a torrent site (which I removed), one was just a list of bands that a fan had seen live, and one was the CD for sale on CD-Baby (not nessecarily an indication of notability). --Darksun 01:29, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks - to correct you, it's not the "Encyclopedia of Gibraltan Music" -- I guess "Gibraltan Music" would be very obscure music from Gibraltar -- maybe that was where you misunderstood. :) It's the Gibraltar Encyclopedia of Progressive Music, which has been around for over a decade, collecting information, history, and reviews of progrock bands and music. You might want to remove your flag for speedy deletion. Check the citations. Thanks! Gekritzl 01:37, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
- Fine, last night I suppose I was a bit tired and stressed, I had seen this article had already been speedied once under A7 and didn't see much difference. I removed the tag, but I still question whether or not this group meets notability guidelines. --Darksun 07:22, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Comparison to Porcupine Tree and Theatre
[edit]I tagged this as needing citation as I can't find out WHO has compared Moongarden to these other bands. Unless it was done in a reliable, independant source it would qualify as original research or personal opinion. --Darksun 22:48, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
