What should we do about the fact that there are currently two different competing versions of this article, the other of which is in draftspace? Samples

So I'm wondering about the "Mouth Dreams (Extro)" track... The synth bit that plays in the background throughout the track sounds a LOT like the synth from Neon Indian's "6669 (I Don't Know If You Don't Know" so I'm just wondering if there's anyway we can confirm that? Accidentally in Love?

This may sound like WP:NOTFORUM, but it would affect the article content. I listened to this album on Thursday, the day after its release, on SoundCloud. I'm certain that towards the end, sometime after "Pee Wee Inc" and "Ain't", I heard an unlisted track that was a mashup of Counting Crows' "Accidentally in Love" and "Feel Good Inc." again. I remarked to my partner at the time that the former was on a Shrek soundtrack. But when I looked up a track listing a couple of days later, there was no trace of this, and today I listened to the album again on SoundCloud. I don't think this was an extended, specific auditory hallucination! Is it possible this track was removed shortly after the album's initial release? I'm going to email Neil about this and will update if I get a response. --BDD (talk) 21:51, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

I can't say anything about the SoundCloud release, but I personally downloaded the album as soon as it released. No such track exists in that version, so I can confidently rule that out at least. Check if you have autoplay turned on on SoundCloud, it could be possible that another track started playing automatically. Piperadam (talk) 20:09, 7 November 2020 (UTC)

I'd think that was it for sure if I didn't clearly remember it happening during Mouth Dreams... but maybe not? Maybe I should go hunting on SoundCloud for such a track. In my search, I did find a much older Vine of someone listening to the first few seconds of one. --BDD (talk) 16:43, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

"Love Rollercoaster" is not sampled in "Closerflies"

I've seen many people say that midway through "Closerflies" there is a synth sampled form The Ohio Players' "Love Rollercoaster" as a callback to "Rollercloser" in Mouth Silence. As far as I can tell, this synth sound is just the synth from Nine Inch Nail's "Closer", where the instrumental to "Closerflies" is sampled from.
