Origin of the "vintage" siren
[edit]"The song features a striking example of integration of sound effects into an arrangement, in this case a vintage air-raid siren which introduces a new section".
That siren, like many sound effects in many songs at that time, just came from a sound library for studios, similar to the BBC sound library which seems to include every possible sound you could have an use for. Incidentally, the vary same bird songs have been used in a version of "Across the universe" (Beatles Rarities blue sleeve vinyl in the old vinyl box) and in "TimeEnd of the season", by the Kinks. 82.226.27.88 (talk) 11:22, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
