Arabic name[edit]

I have changed the supposed Arabic form of the name which appeared as “مُوساَ” to “مُوسَىٰ” which is more accurate, while yes Alif is used for a long a sound (aː) at the end of an Arabic word an Alif Maqsura is used, which is a yaa without the two dots, Mussy786 (talk) 23:21, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

More on the Arabic spelling of “Musa”[edit]

The Quran verses: 2:51, 2:53, 2:54, 2:55 and 2:60 affirm my spelling of “مُوسَىٰ” over the spelling of “مُوساَ” and in the wikipedia page on Arabic IPA it uses the Alif Maqsura (ى) and the normal Arabic Alif (ا) as being the same sound, which is the /aː/ sound Mussy786 (talk) 03:29, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And to add, in the wikipedia page Jesus in Islam Jesus’ islamic name which has a /aː/ sound at the end of his name, is spelled “عِيسَىٰ” proving the alif maqsura is used for the end of words, In the wikipedia article titled “Mustafa (name) the name appears as “مصطفى” in the Arabic spelling provided indicating the Arabic sound should be represented by an Alif Maqsura when at the end of a word/name, however in Arabic there are a few exceptions to this such as the word “هذا” Mussy786 (talk) 03:34, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
