Pop Music Section is too Hagiographic

Would anyone be willing to re-write this section using a more objective style? And why does the article have such little mention of Diomedes Díaz, Aterciopelados and Totó la Momposina in favor of those who are more known in the U.S.? Torowhynot (talk) 05:13, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

any external links?

one, and I can see it needs a few more expanssions; however, the article doesn't contain any sources or external links for either further reading or just some examples of the music. 68.205.240.133 20:49, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

The image Image:Toto.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Salsa should make part of popular music..... not of caribbean as it was not a genre born in colombia and it is especially popular in interior cities as bogota and cali

Bambuco section should be expanded —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.118.18.117 (talk) 03:23, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Very good start, cleanup and wikification needed. I'd change Shakira from her own category to "pop/rock in español" or something to include Juanes and some of the newer pop like Bonka, Naty Botero, etc. Hwonder talk contribs 11:38, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
