Mykonos = Ohio?

[edit]

Has there ever been any mention of the fact that "Mykonos" is ridiculously similar to Neil Young's song "Ohio"? As much as I love the song it probably should have resulted in a lawsuit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.82.140.51 (talk) 17:24, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. That's foolish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.8.55.175 (talk) 17:54, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I heard the song on Pandora and thought the exact same thing! I wouldn't add it to the article unless the similarity was noteworthy (like if Neil Young said anything about it), but I was honestly surprised to find there hadn't been any mention of it. It's so undeniably lifted! Looking it up, I see that Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold cites Young as an influence, but that's about all I could find involving the two. 108.223.24.170 (talk) 22:50, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Josh Tillman

[edit]

The article cited for the rumor that Josh Tillman's drug use inspired Mykonos makes no such claim, nor is such an accusation implied. The recording and release of the song in fact correspond to the time Josh Tillman joined the band, and may in fact predate his tenure. I beg of you to please take appropriate action. 2600:100F:B10F:B1B7:BD30:1C3B:A5EC:B77C (talk) 03:25, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
